Looking for something to do while you are visiting the Green Bay area or passing through and plan to stop? Here is a list of some fun things to do here at are not always well publicized.
Performing Arts - Live Shows
Meyer Theatre - A Fox Theater
On Valentine's day in 1930 the Fox Theater opened a stunning theater in Green Bay's downtown where life performances were the big draw of the time.
This theater had been transformed numerous times over the years into a movie theater, a dance club, and a variety of businesses. After a grass roots effort began, donatations poured in to support restoration of this iconic theater. Today the Fox, renamed The Meyer Theatre in honor of the major benefactor, is restored to it's original splendor.
The theater currently does not have regularly scheduled tours to the public, however, if you call the theater during the week and request a tour during weekdays, most likely you will be taken on a private tour of this grand building free of charge. You will also get the honor of seeing a fully operational whirlitzer pipe organ, one of only a handful in use today. Spectacular! www.meyertheatre.org Call them for your tour today! (920) 433-3343.
Weidner Center
Located on the UWGB campus, this facilities is known throughout the country for it's superior acoustics. From Broadway shows to solo performances, this lovely venue holds about 2080 patrons.
The Resch Center
Large concerts, hockey, indoor football, lingerie football, and college hoops are all part of the mix at his location. Capacity is near 10,000 seats.
Green Bay Community Theater
Located in downtown Green Bay, this small theater is a popular one. With season ticket holders gobbling up tickets to every performance, it is tough to get a ticket to see a show here, so the shows must be very enjoyable!
Let Me Be Frank Productions
Frank's shows call the Meyer Theatre home. With the theme changing frequently, guests can enjoy original productions that combine top notch singing with a huge helping of humor. The Frank's cast is also known for performing frequently for benefit causes. www.letmebefranks.com
Daddy D Productions
Breaking off from Frank, Daddy D's now has their own productions and call The Black Forest restaurant their home. Again, great singing and original skits combined with comedy. Dinner is also served with this performance so tickets are a bit higher. www.daddydproductions.com/

Caving/Spelunking
1) Ledge View Nature Center, Chilton, WI - about 45 minutes west of Green Bay.
http://www.co.calumet.wi.us/departments2.iml?dept_id=70#203
I went through these caves on a very hot and humid August day. Inside the caves the temps drop to 58 degrees so caving is an excellent way to cool off during summer! Plan on spending at least a couple of hours here. Cavers can choose how much or how little to crawl during this adventure. Guides are extremely knowledgeable with the geology and make the experience welcoming to all ages. These days continue to be excavated and expand/lengthen every year.

They also do canoeing.
